How much does a padel court cost to hire in the UK? Prices by region and time
By the Lobwell Padel team. Updated 1 November 2026.
Short answer: Hiring a padel court in the UK costs a median of £28 per court per hour off-peak, £40 at peak times and £36 at weekends, based on the published price lists of 79 venues we checked on 1 November 2026. Split between four players, that is about £7 to £10 each for an hour. London and the East of England are dearest, with peak medians of £50 and £48.
The headline numbers
We read the published price lists of 79 UK padel venues on 1 November 2026, one page per venue, and converted every price to a per court, 60 minute figure. Where a venue quoted per player we multiplied by four; where it quoted 75 or 90 minutes we scaled to an hour. These are list prices, not live slot prices, and some venues add member discounts or charge more for a show court.
The median, the middle venue when all are lined up by price, is a better guide than the average because a few London venues charge far more than everyone else. The full venue by venue data is in our UK padel court price index.
| Time band | Median per court | Per player (four) | Venues in sample |
|---|---|---|---|
| Off-peak | £28 | £7 | 63 |
| Peak | £40 | £10 | 65 |
| Weekend | £36 | £9 | 45 |
Prices by region
Regional medians vary more than you might expect. The West Midlands had the lowest off-peak median at £20, matched by Yorkshire and The Humber, while the East of England was highest at £40 off-peak. At peak times London leads at £50, with the East of England close behind at £48. Some regional samples are small, so treat the figures for Wales and Northern Ireland, with two priced venues each, as indicative only.

What changes the price
- Time of day: peak usually means weekday evenings from about 5 or 6pm. Off-peak daytime slots are the cheapest.
- Indoor or outdoor: indoor courts cost more to run, and in our venue data only 42.5% of venues with a known court type have an indoor court.
- Location: city centre London venues can charge far more than the median. UK Padel co-founder Nick Baker told City AM in 2025 that some central London courts cost over £95 an hour.
- Membership: many clubs offer cheaper member rates or member only booking windows.
- Booking length: 90 minute slots are common and cost proportionally more, but often slightly less per hour.
Cost per player, per session
Padel is a four player game, so the court fee splits nicely. At the UK median, an hour off-peak works out at £7 each, a peak hour £10 each and a weekend hour £9 each. A 90 minute peak booking at the median rate would be about £15 each. Add balls: a tube of three costs £4.49 to £5.49 in our range and lasts a few sessions, so perhaps £1 to £2 each per game.
Over a year of weekly peak games, court fees at the median come to around £520 per player. That is worth knowing when you weigh up a membership.
| Pattern | Per session each | Per year each |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly, 60 min off-peak | £7 | £364 |
| Weekly, 60 min peak | £10 | £520 |
| Weekly, 90 min peak | £15 | £780 |
| Fortnightly, 60 min weekend | £9 | £234 |
How to pay less
Our guide on how to book a padel court covers the booking apps and timing, and the padel court finder lists 916 venues across the UK.
- Book off-peak. Daytime and late evening slots are often several pounds cheaper per court.
- Look further out. Venues on the edge of town often undercut central ones.
- Join open matches through booking apps to share a court when you do not have a four.
- Check member rates if you play more than once a week.
- Bring your own racket rather than hiring one every time.
Running costs beyond the court
A racket is a one off cost that pays for itself quickly if you are hiring. A first racket in our range starts at £59 with Fen, or £92 for the Starter Kit with Tor, a tube of balls, three overgrips and a cover. If you play with the same group, the Pair Kit at £169 covers two rackets and two tubes. See padel starter kits.
Hiring a court is not building one
Search results often mix up the price of hiring a court with the cost of building one. This page is about hire. Building a full size court involves a 10 by 20 metre playing area, a drained base, 4 metre glass and mesh walls and, indoors, at least 6 metres of clear height under FIP rules, so it is a construction project with quotes from specialist installers. For the dimensions, see the padel court size guide.
